Welcome back to another exciting season of women basketball! Last night saw the start of the 2010 Spring season with a record nine teams taking part in the league. As it normally happens with the end of a season and the beginning of a new one, several players have switched teams so it'll take a couple of weeks before we get used to seeing these players in new uniforms and in new teams. The newest team to join the league, the Neutaconkanut Recreation Center's Unity and Hope, started their season with a bang. They easily took down the second best team of the league last season, the All Stars team, to let everyone know that they are here to play and they mean business. The Pasabien team returned to the league this season and scored a respectable 28 points against league champions Suchi Stars. The Suchi Stars players easily won the their game, but it was good to see Pasabien show some growth in their playing skills and score in the double digits against such strong opposition.
